My art career started in 1973 with a Foundation course at
St. Martins School of Art. I then studied Graphic Design at Kingston Polytechnic. For the next ten years I was based in London working
in the Advertising Industry as a Typographer, Illustrator and later as Assistant Studio Manager in a large
Sales Promotion company.
I have been self employed since
1986, in 1992 I began concentrating on
developing my watercolour painting,
producing Landscapes, Portraits and
Architectural Artist Impression
Paintings in a representational style.
In the last few years, drawing has
become even more central to my art
practice and is often incorporated into my watercolour
paintings in layers. I aim to choose subject matter which
challenges me as an artist in particular water and skies.
My paintings have sold with the RI of Painters in
Watercolour, the Society of Women Artists and ING
Discerning Eye at the Mall Galleries. They are also in
collections throughout Europe, Canada, Australia,
New Zealand and the USA.
I am a committee member for the Cranbrook Art Show
and associate member of The Society of Graphic Fine Art.
Most original artworks on my website are sold but you can check by emailing me. Many are available as prints.
